Rafa Vivas

Born in Madrid in 1970, he studied Law at University. At the same time of being a lawyer and lecturer in a business school, he got the opportunity, in 1999, to publish some aquarelle and Chinese ink drawings.

Since then, he has published with different editorials (Anaya, Edelvives, SM, Planeta, Siruela, Imaginarium, ...), with books being published in Portugal, Italy, France, UK, Mexico Korea and Taiwan.

He has won some prizes (2º Premio Ciudad de Alicante y Mención Especial del Jurado en el Premio Apel.les Mestres)

He was selected by the Ministry of Culture to be part of an Exhibition "Ilustrisimos" at the Feria de Bolonia in 2005.

Now he lives in the isle of La Palma where he continues to illustrate and has created, with Nati Rodriguez, the illustration school, ILUSTRARTE.
